Starting wage: hourly + tips ($21 - $25+ range, based on experience/role)
Vice City Bean started in 2015 and has grown to be a Miami specialty coffee leader with 3 locations in the city. We value and support our teams, they are the backbone to our company. We are looking for strong personality and hospitality values, and obviously, a love of coffee. Specialty coffee experience necessary for this position, but we will provide additional training. Most importantly, you need to take pride in your work, support your team and provide genuine service to our customers. We're looking for:
- 1-2+ years experience with specialty coffee
- Motivated self-starters
- Experience : show willingness & curiosity to learn the speciality coffee industry & develop coffee skills: latte art, dialing in coffee, pour overs.
- Excellent customer skills: friendly & engaging.
- Team player: we all clean, prepare and serve beverages & food
- Reliability and trustworthiness
General Role Outline:
- Barista, cafe & event shifts as needed at all locations
- Production assisting with various company roles: sample roasting, production roasting, cold brew production, maintenance, events
- Training will be provided, however, prior coffee experience is a must. This is not an entry-level position. You should be comfortable and familiar with dialing in coffees, barista skills, general cafe operations. Experience / familiarity a plus, but we will provide training: cupping, coffee evaluation, current brewing trends, equipment maintenance, grinders and current equipment trends, TDS, refractometers
- Able to lift/move 50lbs.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record. Reliable transportation & able to drive Sprinter Van as needed
